The pre-move survey
Prior to your move, we will arrange for our overseas associates to visit your home to conduct a pre-move survey. This survey is an accurate assessment of the volume of goods to be moved and the packing material required. In addition, this is your best opportunity to ask questions and inform us of any special requirements that you may have. Prior to the assessment you should decide which items are to be moved and by what method (ie Seafreight, Airfreight, Storage or Not-to-move).
We will need to sight all items to be moved, (yes, even cupboard contents) including smaller items such as china and glassware. We will also provide valuable advice as to what to send air or sea, relative to your anticipated accommodation conditions and circumstances offshore.
DO NOT forget to advise us of any items that you will be purchasing or items that are not at your home (such as office papers, items being repaired or perhaps located at a friend or relative's house).
The actual survey will take approximately one to two hours, however this could be longer for complex, larger relocations.
